uVerse's new half-assed multiview system for PIP

For years now, Uverse subscribers have been asking for PIP, the ability to persistently watch two channels at a time. And they came up with this thing called My multiview. The idea is simple. The user gets to select his favorite channels in a list and then as he is watching a channel, he can watch any three of his sequential favorite channels at the same time.

This is so half-assed, it makes no sense at all. If their system is going to use the bandwidth to fetch low res previews of three channels, at least let the user choose which three. In two pictures, I show how easy it is. While watching, the user is able to select one of the four channels being watched using his arrow buttons on his remote. The red box in the pic below shows the selected watch area. He can press down to select one of the other two areas

Once he has selected one of the three areas, the user can then type any channel number he wants to set that area to that channel. In the pic below, I put some text on the top box to show the user is selecting a channel to assign to that box.

Once a channel number was assigned, the user can then hit the OK button to make that channel show up on the center screen. Whoever works in the user experience department at AT&T / Motorola needs to do a ton of answering for the half assed system they have managed to come up with.
