I LOVE ONLINE BILL-PAY

So my bank offers online bill pay. Do you know how that works? I go in there and tell them where to send a check. They print a check off my account and send it to this place where I need to make a payment to. They take it to their bank, and they send it back to my bank for collection. It comes back to them.

In essence, these people print a slip of paper and send it halfway across the country and get it back so that they can send money over ACH to the very same place where they sent the check. Amazing, isn't it?

Plane crashes.

There have been disturbingly too many plane crashes this year. After 2007 being the safest year in aviation since decades, will 2008 prove that was a fluke?

The public's memory is short, but let's just look at the plane crashes last two weeks. Including teo major crashes internationally, there have been at least 7 crashes with fatalities.

Is somebody taking notes?
