Wild Ride today
And on from there I landed later on this page which takes a tolerant view of Jesus and tries to see beyond the foggy New Testament distortions to the truth of Jesus. My path to this page was through the following collection of analytical and historically validated writings on Jesus.
In the midst of these revelations, I was reminded of a page I visited recently, that puts Jesus in the context of Islam.
In an effort at the total picture, all these places bring me to what Prithu Das Adhikari said, and gives me the answers :
narayana-parah sarve
na kutascana bibhyati
svargapavarga-narakesv
api tulyartha-darsinah"Devotees solely engaged in the devotional service of the Supreme Lord never fear any condition of life. For them the heavenly planets, liberation and the hellish planets are all the same, for such devotees are interested only in the service of the Lord" (Srimad Bhagavatam 6.17.28).
Even when facing tribulations, when being led to crucifixion, a perfect being on the highest level of intimacy with God, absorbed in God, is not afraid under any circumstances: "Daughters of Jerusalem, don't cry for me. Cry for yourselves and for your children" (Luke 23:28).
Jesus here becomes a perfect devotee who never by himself claimed to be divine. One who was impervious to material pains, in true devotion and surrender to god. In the message of "Jesus who died for our sins", the message of true devotion is lost. The theology of Paul, for 2000 years followed as Christianity might be far from the true message of Christ.
The concept from Islam that matches with when Jesus says, "In my Father's house are many mansions (dwelling places); if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a mansion (a dwelling place) for you." puts the above in perspective, where Jesus becomes a Prophet, a perfect devotee, a perfect human being.
